STORY

My father served in the Vietnam war. After which he was stationed in Thailand. That is when he met my mother. To keep a long story short, they fell in love got married and had some kids. One being myself and the other my brother Robert (he’s kind of cool) JK brother. My parents moved to Jacksonville in 1979, the year I was born. In 1989 they opened a small Asian food store on University Blvd that had a small café. With mom’s cooking and love for food, the Café was a hit!!! In 1990 they migrated to a real restaurant and Pattaya Thai Restaurant was born. FYI: Pattaya is a beach resort in Thailand. My mom's family lives there still today. Chonburi province is where my mom is from. Since age 10, I have been at my family’s side learning about food, culture and the restaurant business, with recipes that have been time tested for over 30 years in Jacksonville we continue to thrive and strive to serve the best we can.
